Practice philosophy: Traditional Chinese Medicine allows me to create a unique treatment plan for the patient. I value creating patient focused healthcare that not only treats the patient’s symptoms but also treats the root of the problem. I look forward to working with you and helping you on the path to better health.

What are you passionate about and why? I am passionate about neurological disorders because Parkinson’s/dementia run in my family, emotional disorders/PTSD due to my respect for service members, musculoskeletal disorders due to the huge impact acupuncture can have, and pediatrics because I am a father of a child on the autism spectrum.

Why did you become a provider? When did you know this was the career for you? I chose acupuncture because it allows me to create a unique treatment plan for the patient. It has a minimal intervention and uses the body’s mechanisms to create an environment for the body to heal.

What is something you have learned from your patients? I learn something new from my patients every day. Whether that is the appreciation for integrative health or new ways to approach old problems. It is a journey for both the provider and the patient.

What is one of the challenges of this career you enjoy? And why? When I look at the challenges that I have faced, the one that sticks out the most would be persevering when trying to manage and control chronic conditions.

What is your personal health goal? My personal health goal is to be mindful of what I put into my body and to stay active into old age

What is the best thing you've done for your health or the best health advice you've received? Going back to school for acupuncture has widened my perspective on health and wellness. It has also offered opportunities to create and maintain a healthy lifestyle with a balance of work and play.

What are you most proud of? I am most proud of being a father to my wonderful children.

What are a few of your personal achievements? I am a Master Gardener with the University of Minnesota’s Extensions Office through Scott and Carver counties. I am a licensed acupuncturists.
