What is your practice philosophy? I believe that being a family physician means taking the time to get to know my patients as individuals and in the context of their families and communities. My goal is always to advocate for my patients to make and meet their health goals.
What are you passionate about? And why? I am passionate about stories – whether they come from books I read, people I get to know, or history I learn about. I love discovering more about humanity and the people in my life and world.
If I wasn’t a provider, I would be a: Travel blogger because I love exploring new places and planning adventures.
Why did you become a provider? When did you know this was the career for you? I became a doctor because I love applying science to real life in meaningful ways. I’d always thought about being a doctor, but I officially decided it was right for me in college when I discovered how well medicine combines science and relationships.
One of the challenges of this career that I enjoy is (and why): I love taking the time to get to know my patients and help find what motivates them to improve their health. I like the challenge and privilege of figuring out how I can support my patients in their goals.
My personal health goal is: To move my body through exercise that brings me joy five times a week and eat more local produce
