Longitudinal care- I loved family medicine because you get to form relationships with patients that last a lifetime
If I wasn’t a provider, I would be a: Book editor, because what could be better than getting paid to read books?
Why did you become a provider? When did you know this was the career for you? I loved the idea of dedicating my life and talents to helping people. Then, when I started actually working in medicine, I realized how rewarding it was to be someone patients trusted to come to with their problems, and work my hardest to make them better.
One of the challenges of this career that I enjoy is (and why): Medications, tests, and guidelines are always changing! It can be overwhelming, but it definitely keeps me from ever being bored.
My personal health goal is: Continue to explore the Shakopee area bike trails
What is the best thing you’ve done for your health or the best health advice you’ve received? Learning how to cook so I don’t have to go out to eat for delicious (and more healthy!) meals
