What is your practice philosophy? I provide evidence based and compassionate care for the entire family by developing caring and trusting relationships with my patients and empowering them to achieve optimal health.
What are you passionate about? And why? Staying active - running, mountain biking, hiking, triathlon, cross-country skiing. Movement is the best medicine.
If I wasn’t a provider, I would be a: A chemist - that’s what I studied in college and worked in an organic chemistry lab through college.
Why did you become a provider? When did you know this was the career for you? My mother was a nurse in a family practice clinic and I’ve wanted to do this job since I was 5 years old.
Something I have learned from my patients is: If you listen to your patient carefully enough and ask the right questions, they can usually tell you what is wrong with them.
My personal health goal is: Complete a distance mountain bike race.
What is the best thing you’ve done for your health or the best health advice you’ve received? Quit caffeine and alcohol and increase water intake along with other diet changes to stop recurrent migraines - diet changes can make a huge difference!
What are you most proud of? My wife and 4 amazing boys.
What are a few of your personal achievements? Finishing Ironman Wisconsin triathlon, Birkebeiner ski race, running marathons
