Practice philosophy: I am a firm believer in using research supported exercise and physical activity to reduce pain and improve physical function. I also ensure that patient’s goals are addressed to make rehabilitation meaningful and enjoyable to each individual.
If you weren't a health care provider, what would you be? High school teacher and coach
Why did you become a provider? When did you know this was the career for you? I became a provider because I saw the benefits in pain and function that physical therapists can make without the need of medication. Also, I knew there would always be something new for me to learn.
What is one of the challenges of this career you enjoy? And why? The most up-to-date treatments and practices are constantly changing with new research. However, that also means that I am constantly learning and growing as a provider to give the best possible care.
What is the best thing you've done for your health or the best health advice you've received? I accepted that my physical fitness does not have to look like everyone else’s, and once that happened I found that exercising became fun and no longer felt like a “chore”.
