What is your practice philosophy? Compassionate, patient centered care, founded in evidence-based medicine. I also strive to be sensitive to the concerns of each patient’s family.
What are you passionate about? And why? First and foremost, my faith in my Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. My second passion is being a loving and supportive husband and father. I have four children, along with numerous siblings and in-laws, so I make family my priority. I’m also passionate about providing the best medical care possible to my patients.
Why did you become a provider? When did you know this was the career for you? I chose the field of medicine because it represents the perfect blend of relationship building, patient care and science.
One of the challenges of this career that I enjoy is (and why): I enjoy the diagnostic challenges of the wide variety of complaints encountered in family medicine as well as helping patients navigate a complex medical system.
What is the best thing you’ve done for your health or the best health advice you’ve received? Switching my diet to follow a Mediterranean intermittent-fasting diet.
What are you most proud of? Marrying the love of my life, Sarah Porta in 2012, as well as the birth of my four children, Cindy, Bobby, Lewis and Beverly.
