What is your practice philosophy? I practice with a holistic approach that encompasses the entire person, mind, body and spirit, making health care decisions in partnership with the people I care for.
What are you passionate about? And why? I am passionate about all aspects of women’s health care and improving the lives of women living in the community through primary prevention and combining complementary and contemporary medicinal practices to promote health.
Something I have learned from my patients is: I have learned to listen before speaking. I have just as much to learn from my patients as they do from me. The patient should be the primary decision-maker in their care.
What is the best thing you’ve done for your health or the best health advice you’ve received? The best health advice I have received is to view our body as a temple and the food we consume as fuel and nourishment for our body. You only have one body; take care of it!
What are you most proud of? Publication of my quality improvement project related to postpartum depression in the American Journal of Maternal Child Nursing.
