Practice philosophy: I work with you and your providers to educate and optimize medication use. I take action to correct drug therapy problems and follow up to ensure resolution. I combine clinical evidence and with your personal goals and values to empower you to make informed decisions about your health and medicines.
What are you passionate about and why? Helping you understand your medications, and ensuring we maximize the convenience and effectiveness of medicines to make sure they work for your individual life and schedule while keeping you healthy.
Why did you become a provider? When did you know this was the career for you? Over the years I've found that taking complex medical information and presenting it in a way that is easy to understand is an incredibly impactful way to help others take control of their own health.
What is something you have learned from your patients? Being able to listen to a patient's individual health journey and medication experience is the most important part of building trust and finding success with medication therapy plans.
What is one of the challenges of this career you enjoy? And why? Outpatient medicine has many gray areas - patients are unique and don't always fit neatly into the categories we expect. Medications should be individualized to the patient.
What are you most proud of? Being an aunt to an adorable nephew and twin nieces
