What is your practice philosophy? Patience, compassion, and kindness are key to my practice.
What are you passionate about? And why? There is always something new to learn; about myself, my career, and those I’m walking alongside of during difficult journeys in life. I never want to feel like I’ve learned it all.
Why did you become a provider? When did you know this was the career for you? I knew I wanted to be a provider while volunteering in a children’s hospital while working outside of medicine. I felt comfort and calm while sitting with families as they navigated complex care and I knew that I wanted to be in that environment. I never regretted going back to school and have learned something new every day.
Something I have learned from my patients is: Compassion, patience, and resilience. Life will throw us all curve balls. I have watched my patients find meaning while adjusting to new normals and grapple with the uniqueness of being human.
What is the best thing you’ve done for your health or the best health advice you’ve received? Best advice: Work patiently and relentlessly. We are worth the effort and even though we may stumble or fail, our work is never in vain. Continue to show-up because we are worth it.
