Practice philosophy: I enjoy helping patients in their health care journey. I enjoy building a relationship over time and helping them achieve their goals and improve their quality of life.

What are you passionate about and why? I am passionate about helping patients find solutions to their concerns and recognizing their unique needs and any potential barriers.

If you weren't a health care provider, what would you be? A teacher

Why did you become a provider? When did you know this was the career for you? My father taught science and I wanted to connect science with helping people. I studied biochemistry in college and decided that becoming a physician would allow me to combine those interests.

What is something you have learned from your patients?

I have learned the importance of being a good listener and discovering what the patient's goals are to figure out how to best meet them.

What is one of the challenges of this career you enjoy? And why?

Medicine is rapidly changing so that is always a challenge. I enjoy the teamwork though between primary care and specialty care that allows us to provide the most up-to-date and quality care.

What is your personal health goal? Maintaining a positive attitude and positive relationships

What is the best thing you've done for your health or the best health advice you've received? Making a point to combine exercise with socializing. I meet friends at fitness classes, bike to restaurants, meet for dog walks, and joined a running group to make exercise more fun and motivating.
