What are you passionate about? I have a strong interest in rehabilitation medicine. I have had a long history of rehabilitation as a physical therapist and physician.
If I wasn't a health care provider, I would be: A professional musician.
Why did you become a physical medicine and rehabilitation specialist? I worked as a physical therapist for many years and enjoyed working with rehabilitation patients. I wanted to provide more specialized care for my patients and decided to become a rehab physician.
What is something you have learned from your patients? I have learned that each individual is unique and that care should be tailored to each patient.
What is one the challenges of this career you enjoy? I enjoy trying to maximize each patient's potential and to promote recovery.
What is your personal health goal? I try to stay as fit as possible with exercise and nutrition.
What is the best piece of health advice you have received? To live life to the fullest.
What are you most proud of? I am most proud of my three children.
What are a few of your personal achievements? I have worked with many talented physicians that have taught me many skills. I strive to keep learning new information to improve patient care. I hope to continue learning for the rest of my career.
