What is your practice philosophy? To empower patients to have the knowledge and resources necessary to make the best decisions for their health that fits their personal situation.

What are you passionate about? I am so excited about being back in Minnesota and calling this wonderful state my home again.

If I wasn't a provider, I would be a: A farmer. I grew up on a dairy farm and at the time I wasn't a fan. Now looking back, it was a great way to grow up - Outside most of the time, physically active, and a good way to learn about hard work.

Why did you become a provider? I became a physician because I wanted to help individuals through their toughest days. I enjoy spending time with patients and hearing their stories.

Something I have learned from my patients is: Even in the worst of diseases, we as physicians can always offer something to our patients, and often that something is compassion, care, and support.

One of the challenges of this career that I enjoy is: I enjoy helping patients make positive life changes, because it will have more of a benefit on their health than any medication could.

My personal health goal is: To complete marathon #2. So far I've only done 1 - The Twin Cities Marathon in 2015. But I'd like to get back into more of the longer races.

What are you most proud of? I am most proud of graduating from medical school. It is an honor to be so intimately involved in patient's lives, and I will respect that honor.

What are a few of your personal achievements? I served in the Army Reserves from 2003-2016 with the 452nd Combat Support Hospital out of Fort Snelling, MN, and was on Active Duty from 2019-2021 with Carl R. Darnall Army Medical Center at Fort Hood, TX.
