What is your practice philosophy: I believe in listening to my patients in discussion of individual health care goals and encouraging individuals to participate in their health through education and incorporating holistic care based on individual patient needs.

What are you passionate about? And Why? Listening to music as believes this can be quite meditative.

If I wasn't a provider, I would be a: Chef because I love to try new recipes and learn new techniques for cooking.

Why did you become a provider? When did you know this was the career for you? I became a provider when I was a critical patient at a young age. I knew as a patient what I needed from a health care provider.

Something I've learned from my patients is: I've learnt to never assume a narrative based on a diagnosis. Every patient has his or her own story.

One of the challenges of this career that I enjoy is (and why): One of the challenges is addressing mental health needs as this is a critical component of physical health. I believe this area of medicine has been labelled and stigmatized. I try to encourage patients to talk more freely about their mental health needs so this area can be addressed and provide overall better health.

My personal health goals is: My personal health goal is to increase my exercise during the week.

What is the best thing you've done for your health or the best health advice you've received? Eating more fish at least 2x/week as has maintained overall health including skin, cardiac, and vascular health.

What are you most proud of ? My son born in 1995

What are a few of your personal achievements? I have volunteered for feeding the homeless.
