What is your practice philosophy? I think of my role as a physician is fundamentally one of education – my job is supply women with all their options so they can choose what is best for themselves. I strive to provide counseling that is comprehensive, easy to understand and non-judgmental.

If I wasn’t a provider, I would be a: veterinarian – I love working with animals and it would still allow me to enjoy the complexities of medicine and surgery that I love about my job as a Ob/Gyn. If not that, then probably a food critic!
Why did you become a provider? When did you know this was the career for you? I became a women’s healthcare provider because I wanted to empower women to take control of their own health and support them through all phases of their life from adolescence, pregnancy care, well woman care, menopause and beyond.
My personal health goal is: To make a healthy choice each day and to appreciate that health comes in many forms – physical activity, mental wellness, diet and nutrition, environment – and each component is equally important!
What is the best thing you’ve done for your health or the best health advice you’ve received? The best health advice I have ever received is to have a goal toward which to work – short or long term – that can provide extra motivation at the end of a long day.
