What are you passionate about and why? I am passionate about my establishing a good rapport with my patients and explaining things in laymen terms because every patient should be well informed and I would want the same for myself or my family

Why did you become a provider? I have always had empathy for those in need and want to help people. I saw the gratification my parents and grandfathers experienced as physicians and wanted to be a part of this special community.

What is something you have learned from your patients? Taking an extra couple of minutes to explain the disease or the procedure, oftentimes drawing a quick sketch, means a great deal to them.

What is one of the challenges of this career you enjoy? The time-sensitivity of treating patients with stroke due to large vessel occlusion as every second truly counts.

What is the best thing you've done for your health or the best health advice you've received? After my football career ended, I lost 25 pounds over the course of 6 months with dieting and running 6 days per week and was in the best shape of my life.

What are you most proud of? The man and the father I have become since my eldest daughter was born in 2016.

What are a few of your personal achievements? Capt of high school hockey team, NCAA Football player at and Graduated with honors from Johns Hopkins University, AOA Honors from Medical School, Chief Resident (1 of 2 in a program of 40 residents)
