What is your practice philosophy? Every patient has their own story that defines their health. I want to learn about that story to provide the best preventive care and treatment possible for each individual.

What are you passionate about? The arts. There is so much to learn and appreciate in visual arts, literature, and music.
If I wasn’t a provider, I would be a: An automobile mechanic. I enjoy learning about and working on cars that have captured my interest since childhood.
Why did you become a provider? When did you know this was the career for you? When I was young, I wanted to be a veterinarian. As I grew up and went through school, my focus shifted to providing care to my community. After delivering my first baby in medical school, I was certain about pursuing a future in women’s health care.
Something I have learned from my patients is: There is good in every person and every situation. Be grateful, and appreciate the beauty in life.
One of the challenges of this career that I enjoy is: The breadth of women’s health care in obstetrics and gynecology. On call in the hospital, I may deliver several babies, see new patients in consult, or go to the OR for emergency surgery, all in the same shift! This job is never boring.
My personal health goal is: To run another marathon. I ran my first marathon in 2014, before the birth of our first daughter.
What is the best thing you’ve done for your health or the best health advice you’ve received? Eat breakfast every day and drink enough water.
