What is your practice philosophy? I believe psychotherapy is only effective when there is a collaborative relationship between the patient and psychologist. I tend to work from an attachment framework and use Cognitive Behavioral psychodynamic, solution focused, and play therapy.

What are you passionate about? And why? Helping children and adolescents become psychologically healthy. Children and adolescents often feel alone and lost. I appreciate the opportunity to help them feel heard.
If I wasn’t a provider, I would be a: Teacher because I love working with children and their families.
Why did you become a provider? When did you know this was the career for you? I have been working with children for over 20 years. Through psychotherapy , I hope that they will gain coping skills and techniques to lead healthy lives.
Something I have learned from my patients is: Over the past twelve years, I have learned that in addition to my patients learning from me, I always learn something from them. I have also learned that collaboration with my client and his or her parents, is key to successful treatment.
One of the challenges of this career that I enjoy is (and why): Helping parents and children/adolescents learn how to communicate with each other in a productive way.
My personal health goal is: To return to Zumba, and be more active in general.
