What are you passionate about? And why? My family and being a healthcare provider! My two passions and callings. Being a Mom has definitely given me insight into my role as a provider and I think working helps me to be a much better mom.  

If I wasn’t a provider, I would be a: A waitress! I loved waitressing when I was younger, good people, good food, fun atmosphere. It was great! A lot of the skills are transferable to my role as a provider. Communication, de-escalation, problem-solving, etc.

Why did you become a provider? When did you know this was the career for you? I have always known Nursing was my calling since I was young and I love learning so seeking an advanced practice degree seemed a natural next step in my nursing career.

Something I have learned from my patients is: I have learned that frequently, your outlook is connected to your outcomes. Perspective matters!

One of the challenges of this career that I enjoy is (and why): Every day is different and you never stop learning and growing.

My personal health goal is: Create balance.

What is the best thing you’ve done for your health or the best health advice you’ve received? Just add water…stressed- take a bath, headache- drink some, squirrely kids- fill a bin and let them play.
