Practice philosophy: Every body is different. Therefore, there is no one way to treat a person. I focus on guided therapeutic exercises and other interventions to address the whole person guided by scientific research and the patient's individualized needs.
What are you passionate about and why? My passion is working with older adults. My background as an undergraduate was in gerontology. It is not a surprise to me that my love for this population has only grown with time. I love working with all people of all ages of course, but the geriatric population is where my heart is.
If you weren't a health care provider, what would you be? A fitness instructor or a personal trainer.
Why did you become a provider? When did you know this was the career for you? I knew pretty young. In the 9th or 10th grade we took a personality test which recommended I peruse a carrier rehabilitation. It wasn't wrong. I love and am passionate about my career.
What is something you have learned from your patients? Live your life now. Don't wait for a convenient time to start the things you want to do, and don't ever wish time away.
What is one of the challenges of this career you enjoy? And why? I love that two people can have the same condition and present in different ways requiring different treatment techniques. It keeps me on my toes and always thinking.
What is your personal health goal? I am going to run a marathon
