What is your practice philosophy? I love to educate patients about their health conditions based on best-practice guidelines. In addition, I strive to motivate my patients to take an active role in their health care.

What are you passionate about and why? I am passionate about education and learning. I love to learn and believe that in my role, being up to date on the latest health trends and treatment is a must. I love to read medical journals, research topics on line and attend conferences pertaining to my field.

If you weren't a health care provider, what would you be? A veterinarian. I am passionate about helping, and I love animals.

Why did you become a provider? When did you know this was the career for you? I have wanted to be in the medical filed since childhood. As a nurse practitioner, I am able to focus on all aspects of my patients health care needs in a professional and compassionate manner.

What is something you have learned from your patients? I have learned that each individual has a different view on what health and wellness is. I try to focus my health care plan around the individual and what works best for them and their lifestyle.

What is your personal health goal? Maintain a healthy lifestyle and a good balance between work, family and friends.

What is the best thing you've done for your health or the best health advice you've received? The best health tip is to remember you re in control of your health. Maintain a healthy weight, exercise daily, get plenty of sleep and keep socially active for good mental health.

What are you most proud of? I am most proud of my family. They are fun, supportive and bring out the best in me.
