I'm passionate about: Medicine. I have had a collection of hobbies throughout my life but the one I have consistently landed on is health care. I get excited about the ever-changing standards of practice and the "curveballs" of acute care medicine. A day that I learn something new is a good day!
If I wasn't a health care provider, I would be: A veterinarian.
I became a provider because: I love to get to know people. I like having advice and being the person one can rely on to deliver it. I knew I wanted to be a health care provider early and found physician assistant studies as the perfect way in college.
I've learned from my patients that: You can't expect patients to follow your instructions on blind faith. You need to explain your thought processes and help them decide on what is right for them.
