What are you passionate about and why? Improving the quality of life for patients through the ability to hear and communicate effectively.

If I wasn't a provider, I would be a: zookeeper because I love learning about animals and educating people about wildlife conservation.

Why did you become a provider? I knew this career was right for me during undergrad after observing clinical audiologists. I wanted to become an audiologist because it is a combination of health care, technology, education and counseling.

Something I have learned from my patients is: motivation and familial support is integral for patient success.

One of the challenges of this career that I enjoy is: discussing with patients the research connecting untreated hearing loss with isolation, memory problems and a perceived lower quality of life.

My personal health goal is: to enroll in a dance class for a style of dance that is completely new - maybe salsa or tango!

What is the best thing you've done for your health or the best health advice you've received? Drink plenty of water. It helps to decrease headaches, keeps me energized and improves my overall feeling of health.

What are you most proud of? My family. I feel blessed to have such a supportive and caring family.
