I am a board-certified family medicine doctor with professional interests in geriatric care, sports medicine, nutrition medicine and preventive care.
I became a provider to: help others in times of illness or injury, and to be an active part in helping people learn about their health, so they can make good decisions about improving their health.
I've learned from my patients: the importance of building relationships. My patients are more likely to follow my advice or recommendations if they trust I have their best interest at heart.
One of the challenges of being a doctor that I enjoy is: the variety and scope of medicine I care for on a daily basis. In family medicine we can see acute and chronic illness, pediatric and geriatric patients, and physical and emotional illness all in one day.
My personal health goal is to: exercise more days of the week than not, and eat healthy, whole, nutritious food for the bulk of my diet.
The best health advice I've received is: never underestimate the health benefits and importance of a good night's sleep.
I'm most proud of: raising three wonderful children, and volunteering and helping with international medical missions in Africa.
