Why I became a provider: I had the privilege of spending 10 years as a registered nurse in the hospital setting and loved helping my patients and their families. I often wished I could have a bigger impact on their journey to wellness, but after their discharge I often didn't see them again. This is what inspired me to become a nurse practitioner. Now I can serve my community by building long-term relationships with my patients and families.
The best health advice I received: My mother always made it a priority to have family dinner together every night growing up. As an adult, this is something I see the value in, and I make great effort to continue this with my own family. It can be very challenging with busy schedules, but I truly believe this is so healthy for our children and us a family both physically and emotionally.
I am passionate about: Nutrition and fitness because not only does this prevent diseases, but it also promotes wellness physically, mentally and spiritually. My favorite activities are running, cycle spin and yoga. Dinnertime with my family is my absolute favorite time of day as we get to prepare and enjoy foods that we love and talk about our day.
I am most proud of: I proud of my three children and my husband. They are my inspiration.
