I enjoy seeing adult patients with a broad spectrum of medical issues, from routine physical exams, to coordinating care for complex diseases with my specialist colleagues. Diabetes, hypertension, and heart disease are particular areas of interest for me. I feel that my role as a primary care provider is to get to know my patients on a personal level, and then help them navigate the health care system according to their values and particular medical needs.
I spend most of my time in the outpatient setting, but also take care of hospitalized patients. I am detail-oriented, and at the same time, I believe that the most important thing is a patient's big-picture values for his or her quality of life. I enjoy performing and teaching bedside ultrasound in patient diagnosis. For fun, I travel, snowboard and kiteboard.
