I am passionate about: traveling. I love being immersed in different cultures and learning from new people. Each different experience outside of my comfort zone allows me to gain appreciation and perspective that is invaluable.
Something I have learned from my patients: There are lots of different ways to raise fantastic and healthy children. The key is to work with the individual families to find the best fit for them.
If I wasn't a provider, I would be: a stay-at-home mom!
I became a provider because: I have always loved working with children. Pediatrics allows me the opportunity to partner with young people and their families to positively impact health and wellness. I love that my job allows me to continue to care for patients from birth all the way to young adulthood. I decided in college that eventually I would become a physician, however I actually taught high school science for several years first!
Best thing I have done for my health: Take time to enjoy the outdoors, don't underestimate the importance of good sleep and make time to eat as a family.
I am most proud of: my marriage and the birth of both my daughters. I am blessed with a great and supportive family here in the Twin Cities.
