I am a physician, specializing in obstetrics and gynecology. My professional interests include contraceptive methods, laparoscopic surgery and helping women through pregnancy and delivery.
I became a provider because: As a medical student I became interested in obstetrics and gynecology while working closely with a community provider. After that, I couldn't image my health care career doing anything other than caring for women through pregnancy and beyond.
One of the challenges of this career that I enjoy is: Teaching women about their health at all stages of life, including pregnancy and health while aging.
If I wasn't a provider, I would be: A writer. I love poetry and wrote a lot as a young adult.
I am passionate about: Spending time with my family and traveling.
Something I have learned from my patients is: Every patient can teach me something about health care, and learning from them helps me to become a better physician for all of my patients.
My personal health goal is: Find a physical activity that our family can do together and stick with it!
Best thing I've done for my health is: Trying to get at least seven to eight hours of sleep a night. It makes such a difference!
