The best part of my work is: meeting with patients and their families
I became a certified nurse practitioner because: I was interested in seeing patients in a new role after spending several years as a registered nurse in the ICU/CCU, kidney dialysis and the cardiac cath lab.
What I tell friends and family: wear sunscreen, wear a bike helmet and it's never too late to start yoga.
My favorite health tip is: find an activity or exercise that you enjoy and just do it.
How I spend my free time: yoga, walking, bicycling and there is something very satisfying about pulling weeds in my garden and the Peace Gardens by Lake Harriet in Minneapolis, where I volunteer.

A personal achievement of my is: becoming a St. Paul City jacks champion at age 10.
