Brain Injury Support Group - Abbott Northwestern Hospital
A brain injury may change the way a person completes daily tasks, may change the way they think or interact with others and how they get around in the community. There may be a variety of obstacles to endure including: memory impairment, difficulties with problem solving/reasoning, speech impairment and changes in personality. Individuals can find help and hope for the future at Courage Kenny Rehabilitation Institute’s support group.

- The support Group helps to discover new meaning in life and learn from other’s challenges and successes.
- Sharing concerns and gaining emotional support from individuals whom have had a brain injury and from their families and friends in a warm and welcoming environment
- Obtaining ongoing education about brain injuries
- Becoming aware of opportunities in the community
This group meets the second Wednesday each month from 4:30 p.m. to 6:00 p.m.
