Karen Prieto, DNP, is an advance practice nurse with a doctoral degree in nursing. She is board-certified as a clinical nurse specialist in adult health. She also has a degree in sport and exercise science. Her focus is in the areas of preventative health, providing physical assessment, risk factor identification, and lifestyle medicine to support healthy living. She is also a certified wellness coach who supports patients in addressing barriers and making behavioral changes to promote better health.
Currently, she works as a medical provider in medical weight loss and has created a group medical program to address weight management. Her main focus is to educate patients on how to eat healthy, increase physical activity, and manage stress, so they have the skills they need to create healthy changes in their own lives.
