What is your practice philosophy?  I believe women should feel empowered by their healthcare provider! All women deserve to be heard, educated and most importantly welcomed into the partnership with their provider on their health journey. By providing culturally sensitive and holistic care I strive to help for each person uniquely based on their health goals. As a midwife, I trust the natural physiologic process of pregnancy, birth and all cycles within women’s health and my goal is to use evidenced-based information to help women understand these processes as well as the unique strength and beauty of their own bodies.

If I wasn’t a provider, I would be a: baker, because I enjoy the process of creating and then seeing a result especially when it is something delicious that I get to eat!  

Why did you become a provider? I can’t imagine myself not working with and caring for others. I have a huge heart for education, and the belief that knowledge is so powerful!  Therefore as a midwife I have the desire and passion for all women to have the opportunity to be educated about their health and to understand their bodies.  

Something I have learned from my patients is: that you always have the time to truly listen to someone, because it takes your heart not a certain amount of minutes. For everyone deserves to be heard! 

What is the best thing you’ve done for your health? Prioritize my own mental and physical health! This allows me to better care for others.  

What are a few of your personal achievements? I have completed several races including half-marathons, a full marathon, and a triathlon. Though not every day in my life is that epic, I am simply on board for anything that involves me being out in the wilderness.
