When an injury or other condition causes pain in your hip, the impact is bigger than just one part of your body. At Allina Health Orthopedics, we understand that hip problems can not only cause pain but prevent you from doing day-to-day activities that make your life enjoyable.
That’s why our physicians, surgeons, physical therapists, nurses and other care providers deliver collaborative hip treatment that not only addresses the cause of your pain but your overall well-being.
What is hip treatment?
Your hip is a complicated joint that receives wear and tear during daily life—whether from walking, playing sports, or other active pursuits. It’s also susceptible to injury from falls or trauma.
Hip treatments are non-surgical and may include physical therapy, medication and exercise to strengthen and relieve pain in your hip . But in some cases, hip surgery is the best way to address the causes of pain or restricted mobility.
Good for treating
- Hip fractures
- Hip impingement and labral tears
- Bursitis (joint inflammation)
- Pinched nerves
- Failed or problematic previous hip replacements
