Best part of my work: Helping people see better helps them feel better. Being able to assist people enjoy their lives is very gratifying.
Why I became an optometrist: My maternal grandfather became blind due to glaucoma. I was inspired to help people with these kinds of challenges.
What I tell friends and family: Wear a helmet when biking and wear safety glasses when using tools.
How I spend my free time: Swimming, skiing and skating.
Personal interests: Music is a very enjoyable part of joy in my life. Piano, marching band, trombone and choir all make me smile.
Favorite health tip: An ounce of prevention is worth a pound of cure.
Practice philosophy: Advocating for people's long-term health care benefit by listening and education.
