Nahid Shokohi-Razmpour, CNM
I have been providing health care for women and their families since 1968. In 1968 I graduated from nursing school at the University of Tehran Iran. After which I pursued my dream of becoming a certified nurse midwife. I completed my midwifery program in 1974. I chose to pursue this field because I have a special passion for working with women and providing them with the best possible pregnancy care available. I was a CNM in England for four years and then moved to the U.S. in 1982. Once in the U.S. I completed the midwifery masters program at the University of Minnesota and graduated in 1989. I have been working as a Midwife with HealthPartners for 24 years.
My passion behind choosing this field is because I love to provide care to women and I have a very special respect for pregnant women. My desire is to really listen to their needs during pregnancy. I enjoy helping my patients be happy and healthy during their pregnancy and stay happy during their labor. I make a special effort to avoid intervention during labor but will also listen to my patients needs. I prefer to involve the patients’ family and respect my patients’ wishes for labor and delivery.
