Dr. Amatruda was a member of the medical oncology section at the University of Minnesota, where his work focused on research of the molecular biology of cell signaling. He also served as the university's co-director of the Familial Cancer Program and the Melanoma Program. Biology and treatment of malignant melanoma (skin cancer), treatment of thoracic malignancies, the genetics of familial cancer, and the development of therapies for cancer.
