If you weren't a health care provider, what would you be? If I weren’t in medicine, I’d probably be a teacher or coach, helping others learn and grow.
Why did you become a provider? When did you know this was the career for you? Cardiology drew me in for its mix of complex problem-solving, advanced technology, and the chance to make an immediate difference in patients’ lives.
What is something you have learned from your patients? From my patients, I’ve learned resilience, facing heart disease and life changes with courage. They’ve taught me medicine is about understanding each person’s life and values.
What is one of the challenges of this career you enjoy? And why? I enjoy cardiology’s challenge of making complex decisions under uncertainty. Each patient is unique, and weighing data to guide care keeps me engaged and seeing meaningful impact.
What is your personal health goal? Stay active, maintain strength, and prioritize heart health daily.
What is the best thing you've done for your health or the best health advice you've received? Maintain heart health with consistent exercise and mindful eating.
What are you most proud of? I’m most proud of the resilience I’ve shown in balancing rigorous training, research, and patient care, while staying true to my values and making a positive impact on those around me.
