What are you passionate about and why? Preventative care and evidence-based medicine, to give my patients data-based recommendations. Providing a space where all patients feel comfortable.
If you weren't a health care provider, what would you be? Environmental scientist.
Why did you become a provider? When did you know this was the career for you? I always wanted to help people in my career, and when I was in college I took an Anatomy and Physiology class which was fascinating, and placed me on the path to medicine.
What is one of the challenges of this career you enjoy? And why? Working with patients who have come from different backgrounds than me. I enjoy getting to know people from all walks of life, and I want to help everyone on their health journeys.
What is your personal health goal? Run a 10k this year.
What is the best thing you've done for your health or the best health advice you've received? Learning about lifestyle medicine, and focusing on these aspects of life: nutrition, physical activity, sleep health, positive social connection, and stress management.
What are you most proud of? Becoming the first physician in my family.
What are a few of your personal achievements? I have visited 13 national parks.
