Practice philosophy: Comprehensive, individualized care that incorporates lifestyle factors (diet, exercise, community, sleep, etc.) into a patients overall care. Emphasis on evidence based up to date practices.

What are you passionate about and why? I am passionate about working together with patients as a team to create their care plan and increasing each patients individual health literacy. I am passionate about addressing lifestyle factors such as sleep, stress, diet and exercise as a part of patients care.

If you weren't a health care provider, what would you be? I would be a Baker/Chef. I love to try new recipes and restaurants in my free time.

Why did you become a provider? When did you know this was the career for you? I became a provider to be able to use my love of the medical sciences to serve those in lower socioeconomic situations and those in rural, farming communities.

What is something you have learned from your patients? I have learned how much of an impact our communities and environment play into our own health. Supportive people in our communities can help us grow so much in our health journey.

What is one of the challenges of this career you enjoy? And why? I enjoy being creative and adapting care plans when necessary. When resources are limited, we can work together to create solutions and alternative options.

What is your personal health goal? To stay energized without copious amounts of caffeine.

What is the best thing you've done for your health or the best health advice you've received? The best thing I have done for my health has been limiting processed foods, incorporating more whole foods into my diet.

What are you most proud of? My personal relationships with family, friends and my husband. Relationships where we grow together and build each other up are so important for us!
