Practice philosophy: I treat each person as if they were a member of my own family. It is important to focus on overall wellbeing rather than focus only on the disease state.

What are you passionate about and why? I am passionate about providing high-quality cost-effective, health care because that is what every individual deserves. I partner with patients and work with each individual to identify and overcome barriers that are preventing them from becoming full participants in their care.

If you weren't a health care provider, what would you be? Musician

Why did you become a provider? When did you know this was the career for you? From my earliest experiences as a child going to the pediatrician I knew that I wanted to become a physician to help people feel better. I carried that passion throughout my career.

What is something you have learned from your patients? If you obtain a good history and listen to your patient's they will provide you the diagnosis almost 75% of the time.

What is one of the challenges of this career you enjoy? And why? Helping patients overcome barriers to achieving better health.

What is your personal health goal? Eat more vegetables.

What is the best thing you've done for your health or the best health advice you've received? You cannot take care of others if you also do not look out for your own wellbeing.

What are you most proud of? My wife and my family as this has been an journey we have taken together allowing me to accomplish my goals.

What are a few of your personal achievements? Being a dedicated husband and father, decorated service as a General Medical Officer in the U.S. Army, achieving peer-reviewed publications, training multiple talented Family Physicians.
