Practice philosophy: It is my practice philosophy to listen to my patients and to develop a treatment or diagnostic plan where the patient is involved, communication and trust are paramount and the desired outcome is what is best for the patient’s health. I believe in trying to meet my patients where they are at to help them achieve their goals.
What are you passionate about and why? I am passionate about taking good care of patients and I have a special interest in elder care.
If you weren't a health care provider, what would you be? I would own my own businesses.
Why did you become a provider? When did you know this was the career for you? After a career in marketing, I went back to school in search of a career that was intellectually challenging and rewarding. I had interests in science so a career in medicine was a natural choice.
What is something you have learned from your patients? Meet the patient where their need is, learn about what is important to them and you can do a better job in helping them to achieve their desired outcome.
What is one of the challenges of this career you enjoy? And why? Paperwork. Some of it just takes time and can be pretty boring.
What is your personal health goal? To live a happy and healthy life, I hope to live to 100.
What is the best thing you've done for your health or the best health advice you've received? Eat more vegetables. They are really fun and delicious. Get into cooking and the fuel you put into your body.
What are you most proud of? My parents, my family history and being well rounded.
What are a few of your personal achievements? Being able to have a career in medicine is a huge blessing. It is personally rewarding to help others.
