Practice philosophy: My philosophy is that people are much more than their symptoms or diagnoses. My goal is to work alongside people to face their challenges with gentleness and compassion with the goal of building a life that they can be proud to live.
What are you passionate about and why? Helping people see themselves as more than their challenges and to find creative ways to live life in meaningful ways.
If you weren't a health care provider, what would you be? Neurosurgeon.
Why did you become a provider? When did you know this was the career for you? I always knew I wanted to do something in health care, but my specific interests varied quite a bit but landed in psychology which constantly peaks my curiosities about people which I really enjoy.
What is something you have learned from your patients? First, despite our differences, we usually have a lot more in common than we realize. Second, people are amazingly resilient, even in the face of immense challenges.
What is one of the challenges of this career you enjoy? And why? The challenge of finding unique ways of connecting with people and working through their problems.
