Nimo Ahmed, DNP, FNP-C

Nimo Ahmed (APRN, PHN, MSN, FNP-CNP) is currently practicing as a Family Nursing Practitioner at Crown Medical Center in Brooklyn Park, Minnesota. As a Family Nurse Practitioner, she also practiced at Odam Medical Group in St Cloud, Minnesota, and Medica Health Plan in Minnetonka. Nimo works closely with her patients to manage both acute and chronic illnesses both adults and children, creating individualized treatment plans on a case-by-case basis and constantly re-evaluating their needs. She also ensures each patient keeps up with preventive care, family medicine, preventive care, and disease management, like health risk assessments, physicals, and immunizations.

Nimo has over a decade of experience working with children in a hospital setting as a staff nurse and diabetic educator.
Her decade of experience as the Director of Nursing for a home health company has allowed her to develop diverse skills, including helping adults and children manage their diabetes and providing behavioral health care. She has also shared her expertise in academic settings by acting as a Nursing instructor and clinical advisor to nursing students both online and in-person at Rasmussen University.

Nimo earned her associate degree in Nursing from St. Catherine College in Minneapolis, Minnesota. She then earned her bachelor’s degree in Nursing at the University of Saint Catherine School of Nursing in Saint Paul, Minnesota. After years of providing patient care in different nursing services, she returned to school to earn her Master’s in Nursing at Walden University and eventually studied to become a Doctor of Nursing Practice at St. Catherine’s University.
