What is your practice philosophy? Being a provider is being an advocate for patients. This includes providing them with the knowledge, resources, and care to help them make the best possible health decisions for themselves – and to always respect these decisions.
What are you passionate about? And why? Caring for oncology/hematology patients. From a science perspective, the ongoing research and new therapies are always exciting and cutting edge. But it is the relationship you develop with patients and their family members during such a difficult time that is ultimately the most rewarding.
If I wasn’t a provider, I would be a: A physical therapist – Combining my interest in science and anatomy with my love of movement and activity. I love seeing people regain their independence and quality of life!
Something I have learned from my patients is: Resilience and perspective
One of the challenges of this career that I enjoy is (and why): Learning something new every single day - you are never bored in medicine!
