What is your practice philosophy? I am committed to life long learning, achieving goals, remaining humble, serving others and practice self-care so that my compassion and dedication results in  consistent, exceptional care to the patients I serve. 

What are you passionate about? And why? I am passionate about patient advocacy and heath care disparities because more than ever, I have a chance to make a impact in reducing health care inequalities and improve accessibility to needed care. 

If I wasn’t a provider, I would be a: Barista because I have a very strong love for coffee.  

Why did you become a provider? When did you know this was the career for you? I was in my Master’s degree for nursing when I was diagnosed with cancer. I met a amazing Nurse Practitioner on my second visit. I knew in that moment I needed to change career paths. I haven’t regretted it since.  

Something I have learned from my patients is: I have learned from my patients is that listening to their story or situation is so important in promoting collaborative care and the best outcomes in their health.  

One of the challenges of this career that I enjoy is (and why): Incorporating preventive measures and over come health care disparities within the communities we live and work in. 

My personal health goal is: To reincorporate fitness and strength training again now that I have finished graduate school! I miss it dearly! 

What is the best thing you’ve done for your health or the best health advice you’ve received? The best thing I have done is strength training and yoga. Being physically strong but mentally centered is key to a healthy balanced life! 

What are you most proud of? Finishing my degree despite a cancer diagnosis, this helped me to keep routine, challenge my brain and continue to crush goals.  

What are a few of your personal achievements? I am a mother to 2 boys and I've ran a half marathon
