Practice philosophy: I believe that collaborating with my patients to help them achieve their personal health and rehabilitation goals is the most important part of what I do. By listening to their concerns and goals, I work with them to establish a treatment plan that is attainable and reasonable for each individual.
What are you passionate about and why? I am passionate about learning new ways to live more sustainably, because I want to leave the Earth in better condition for my children and for future generations.
If you weren't a health care provider, what would you be? I would be a wedding planner, because I am highly organized, love to-do lists, and am very creative.
Why did you become a provider? When did you know this was the career for you? I became a PT because I find the human body to be fascinating. I love the skeletal and muscular systems, and how everything works together to help us move and do the things that are important to us.
What is your personal health goal? To run additional marathons and to work at besting my PR
What is the best thing you've done for your health or the best health advice you've received? Move daily, even if it's just 15-20 minutes. Exercise doesn't have to be boring or take a long time to be effective. Playing with the kids or dancing while I do housework are fun ways I move daily.
What are a few of your personal achievements? I ran my first marathon in 2017 in honor and memory of my cousin Ryan. I was able to raise over $2600 to donate to the Brain and Behavior Research Foundation to help bring awareness to mental health.
