What is your practice philosophy? I believe in empowering people and instilling in them the confidence needed to live happy and healthy life.
What are you passionate about? And why? I am passionate about pouring into my community and breaking down barriers of injustice and oppression by providing knowledge and support through mental health.
If I wasn’t a provider, I would be a: Coaching football at any level because of my love for the youth and the game.
Why did you become a provider? When did you know this was the career for you? I became a provider to be able to be able to help people understand mental health and how to cope with life stressors in a healthy way. I realized this was the career for me as I noticed the impact I had on children and families within the child welfare system.
Something I have learned from my patients is: I have learned that in order to support each person, I have to look at their situation holistically.
One of the challenges of this career that I enjoy is (and why): A challenge that I enjoy in this career is having the opportunity to build rapport with someone new each day and building the trust needed in order to support them.
My personal health goal is: My personal goal is to raise a healthy family and make a positive impact on my community that will last.
What is the best thing you’ve done for your health or the best health advice you’ve received? The best advice that I have done for my health is to stay consistent in my workout routine 4-5 days a week.
What are you most proud of? Something that I am most proud of is building a foundation/family built on love and lead by God.
What are a few of your personal achievements? Finding my Fiancé in 2017; Graduating with my masters in 2018; Buying my first home in 2019.
