Daniel Bullard, MD is a resident of Abbott Northwestern General Medicine Associates in Minneapolis, MN.
Hometown: Columbia Heights, MN
Why you became a physician: After college, I began volunteering for the Courage Kenny Rehabilitation Institute to honor my late mother who passed away when I was in college and had received services from the organization for spinal cord disease during her life. It was there I discovered an unexpected passion for serving and supporting people with medical illnesses. I chose the Abbott Northwestern Internal Medicine Residency Program because I feel that the people of the organization share my values of compassion for patients, emphasis on professional relationships, and thorough and comprehensive care.
Fun fact about yourself: I was born at Abbott Northwestern Hospital in one of the resident on-call rooms (which were previously Labor and Delivery rooms). The Minnesota Twins won that day and I allegedly “watched” the game with my father. The Twins went on to win the World Series later that year.
How you like to spend your free time: During my free time, I enjoy spending time with my girlfriend, family, and friends. I like to be active, work out, and play recreational softball. My other primary hobby is to write, record, and perform music with my post rock band.
