My primary therapeutic approach is acceptance and commitment therapy. I aim to help patients identify what is important to them (their values) and to act consistently with these values. Further, I work with patients to identify how to cope with internal difficulties and be more present in their lives using mindfulness practices. I have expertise in behavioral interventions such as exposure therapy for anxiety disorders and behavioral activation for depression.
What are you passionate about and why? Curiosity and continuous learning. I find it humbling and rewarding to learn new things every day.
Something I have learned from my patients is: I have learned how much can be accomplished with courage and persistence.
One of the challenges of this career that I enjoy is: Helping people to work through some of the hardest experiences of their lives because the transformations people make are incredible.
My personal health goal is: Continue regular meditation practice.
What is the best thing you've done for your health or the best health advice you've received? Exercising at least 3 times per week (even if I only have time for a brief workout).
What are you most proud of? Being a parent.
