I view each patient relationship as a partnership that aims to achieve the health goals of the individual; although I offer guidance, each patient ultimately determines what our objectives will be. Each patient is unique in their wants and needs. It is a rewarding challenge to discover each individual’s motivations, and in doing so, help each patient chart a course toward achieving their health goals.
I am passionate about exploring cultures unfamiliar to me. It’s amazing to take on the perspective of someone seemingly different, only to realize how astonishingly similar we really are.
If I wasn't a provider I would be an entrepreneur. I enjoy finding novel solutions to difficult problems and thinking on my feet.
My inspiration to become a Nurse Practitioner came after volunteering in a low income Boston community. I witnessed the suffering resulting from poorly controlled chronic illnesses, much of which could have been prevented with basic primary care interventions.
Something I've learned from my patient is not to worry. Illness is likely to affect just about everyone at some point. Those who fare the best tend to look at each new situation with acceptance and positivity.
I'm most proud of being a great brother to my identical twin and sister, and a great son to my dad and mom.
I’ve had the opportunity to live abroad for several years and have become fluent in a second language, Spanish.
My personal health goal is to maintain an active and healthy lifestyle that is sustainable over the long term. I’m an exercise addict; I find that consistent exercise optimizes my mental and physical health and helps me feel great.
