Practice philosophy: I let the patient lead the way when it comes to their health-related goals.
I became a dietitian because: I knew that becoming a dietitian was the career for me when I realized that it would give me the opportunity to change a person's perspective about food and what it means to eat healthfully.
What I have learned from my patients: My patients have taught me that individualized care is the best approach.
A career challenge I enjoy: In the field of nutrition there’s always new information being presented and I enjoy helping individuals sift through what’s true and what’s false.
What I am most proud of: Moving to Minnesota! My entire extended family lives on the east coast, so this was a big (and scary) move. However, I can actually say that I’ve experienced what it’s like to live away from everything I’ve ever known.
If I wasn't a dietitian, I would be: A chef, because I love the creative aspect of making a meal.
